First time at Jaffa Joint in Corsicana & we got the 4 skewer combo. Fantastic flavor and the spice was just right. Came with 3 different sauces and rice. Definitely going back to try it all.
If you’re tired of the same food around Corsicana, give Jaffa Joint a try. Experience something new, the food is fresh and amazing. Greeted with a smile upon entry and very patient with many of my questions. Would be great to see many others to give this place a try. A place truly worth returning to.
While driving near Corsica, I searched for Vegan food near me and up popped Food Belly. The place looks dated. I explained I was vegan and the owner said there were a few dishes he could do Vegan. I ordered Dal Makhni (lentils) and Chana Masala ( chickpeas). I'm so happy I ate here. The food was delicious with the right mix of spice and heat.
I ordered the beef kebab, chicken tikka, and hummus to go. Beef kebeb: the rice was super fragrant I couldn't get enough of it. The beef had a nice heat that built up and it paired nicely with all of the sauces. It's a really good portion size as well. Chicken Tikka: The chicken was nice and tender. Same deal with the rice in this plate. The tzatziki sauce helped cut through the heat and added even more flavor. Hummus: You are given naan with your order and the naan is so hard to stop eating. The hummus was nicely flavored and a good side to our meal. Overall: ABSOLUTELY coming back to try out the rest of the menu. Everything had generous portion sizes and was seasoned beautifully. A new spot for the best comfort food.
If you've ever had the pleasure of eating home made Indian food you know how special it is. This place will satisfy that part of you that sometimes daydreams you were born with an Indian mom who cooked for you. Eat here, its every bit as good as you hope it will be.
Finally some good food in Corsicana. All jokes aside. This place is really good. I had the combo #1 and the falafel sandwich. The combo #1 was incredibly delicious. The meat was cooked to perfectly and was perfectly charred without being dry. Even then, the sauces that incomes with enhanced the flavors even more. Seriously, I recommend this dish if you are unsure on what to get if you haven't tried anything like this before. I have had a falafel wrap before and it is honestly one of my favorite items. The pickles inside complement the exotic taste of the falafel. You really cant go wrong with this one. 💯/10 I have recommended this place to everyone I know after I first went here.
**The menu has changed** I went in expecting Indian food. Its now Arab Cuisine. I was not disappointed. The beef Kabab had just a little heat and the rice was flavorful. Definitely worth 18 dollars i spent after gratuity. I have included a photo of the new menu.
My new favorite place to stop for food on the way to Houston from dallas. This place looks very unassuming from the outside, we almost didn't go in. But am so glad we did. All the grilled meats was super flavorful, juicy, plentiful for what youre paying for. The baba ganoush with generous piles of grilled pita. The sauces that are dangerously good. The gyro sandwich was pretty generous in portion and was delicious. Stop here. You wont regret it.
Mr. Tareq, the owner, is very kind and polite. He is also very funny! He made me feel welcome! This is not Food Belly, but it is a beautiful fusion of Indian, Mediterranean, and American cuisine. I got the Chicken Tikka and the butter bread. The Chicken Tikka was flavorful and tender! The rice was a beautiful golden color and it tasted heavenly combined with the crispy caramelized onions on top. The butter bread was very soft and lovely too! My mouth was very happy! 🌸🎀 My only constructive critique was the loud country music playing. The music was too loud and made me a bit anxious, but I didn't say anything because I did not want to be rude. I understand we are in Texas, but I believe that calming songs of the Mr. Tareq's heritage or a playlist made up of Indian, Mediterranean, with a sprinking of calm American music (or Dolly Parton) would have been lovely to hear. Overall, my experience was wonderful and I will be back again! 💗
From the moment you leave your vehicle your taste buds recognize how good it will be! Shout out to Jay and the rest of the team! Everything is made fresh to order! So if you are in a rush or will complain because it's not fast food then go somewhere else so the rest of us can enjoy! It is a Halal Fusion Grill with a delectable menu. A combination of Mediterranean cuisines so there are plenty of vegetarian options available. They have a delightful kid's menu and they also play family appropriate media on the TV while you wait! You will be so full but no heavy gut. Highly recommend to everyone!
